Unlocking Literacy with Mighty Doodle

Recently, I found myself in a conversation with my friend Kenny Johnson, discussing the challenges of getting effective tools, like the Orton Gillingham method of teaching, into both schools and homes. We talked about the cost barriers that many schools and parents face when trying to provide the right resources for children who need them. Our conversation left me reflecting on how important it is to make quality educational programs accessible and affordable.

Just a few days later, I met with Deb Mallin, who introduced me to Mighty Doodle, an innovative, AI-powered tutor designed to teach children aged 5-10 how to read, write, and spell. Mighty Doodle is a compassionately relentless tool that uses the science of reading to adapt to each child’s individual learning pace and style. What stood out to me was its focus on providing personalized, effective literacy support at an affordable cost—making it accessible to schools and families alike. Also it provides the Evidence-Based Orton-Gillingham instruction where children interact in a multi-sensory way, connecting sounds to symbols and symbols to sounds, known as “breaking the code.”

The importance of literacy cannot be overstated. It is the foundation for lifelong learning and success. Literacy empowers children to explore new worlds, understand complex ideas, and communicate confidently. Strong early literacy skills not only set the stage for academic success but also foster critical thinking and self-expression.

By offering a tool like Mighty Doodle, we are ensuring that every child, regardless of background or learning needs, has the opportunity to thrive. This program makes high-quality literacy education affordable and effective, aligning perfectly with the goals of making essential resources accessible to all learners.

As we continue to advocate for tools that help every child succeed, I’m excited about what Mighty Doodle offers—a blend of science, technology, and compassion, empowering young learners to thrive in reading and writing. Mighty Doodle truly aligns with the goals of making essential resources both accessible and effective
